four and twenty black birds..........................

Painting for me starts from a point of view, contemporary and pictorial, I then try to re-imagine those first strokes on paper or canvas and work through multiple revisions and adaptations from that starting point to the final painting.
These paintings are a culmination of all the revisions that came through that linear progression.
They are what they are…. formalist, painterly and abstract in all its complexities.
